Some facts about me: My name is Dirk Brade. I was born in 1977 in Bautzen and live again in the old core of Bautzens city after a 2 years intermezzo near Dresden. Even I love my homeland I would not say that I´m a saxonian or a german guy but a european guy. Because my favorite city is Lisbon, my favorite soccer club is FC Barcelona, I love tuscan wine, czech beer and polish piroggi, my favorite region is the Languedoc and I´ve got a swedish car. Art and especially painting is one of my interest since several years. But neither I have studied in art, nor I have anything to do with art in my job. Since my childhood days painting is accompanying me in a intensive way - in the beginning just with pencil, since end of 2007 I work with ink. My favorite painters are not of same style and period. Especially Salvador Dalí, René Magritte, Nicolas Poussin and representatives of the italian Renaissance are my special favorites. Have fun and a good time by visiting my small gallery.
